SCOUT Team

In the summer of 2023, Walk Off Charities created the WOC Scout Team, an 18U all minority team comprised of players from all across Jacksonville. The purpose of this team was to provide experiential and exposure opportunities for players through participation in programs and events like the MLB Breakthrough Series Invitational, MLB Nike RBI, Perfect Game events, American Legion Baseball and more. 

 

Given the expense of the typical travel ball organization or team, Walk Off is committed to these players and families to help cover nearly all expenses including tournament fees, hotel costs, coaching stipends, uniform costs, equipment, and more. Practices are held twice a week to improve player skills and prepare them for games and tournaments.

Entering the 4th summer, the WOC Scout Team program has seen nearly 20 players that have signed/moved on to play baseball in college. This success has created a desire to help more players by fielding additional teams where we can positively impact more players as they prepare for their next step in life.
